Opening in the fall of 1990, Greenwood High School is one of five high schools in the Warren County Public School System. Greenwood consists of grades 9-12, has an enrollment of approximately 1270 students and operates on a 4 period block schedule.
Greenwood High School has earned a reputation for being an educational leader in Kentucky as test scores continue to rise and curriculum needs are addressed yearly to improve instruction. Student academic success, faculty and staff recognition, visionary leadership, curriculum development and alignment continue to earn Greenwood High School the positive reputation it has.
Greenwood has consistently had some of the highest ACT scores in south central Kentucky and is ranked in the top 10% in the state as a Distinguished/Progressing school by the Kentucky Department of Education. Greenwood has been recognized as a Model School by the International Center for Leadership in Education and is ranked among the top schools in Kentucky and the nation by U.S. News and World Reports.
